
Signs and symptoms
Nappy rash is a skin irritation where skin under the nappy becomes red, sore and sometimes spotty. It may make some babies cry or be more irritable than usual as they feel uncomfortable.
Nappy rash is a very common skin condition that most babies will suffer at some time whilst wearing nappies, however it is thought that common triggers may be:
- A cold
- Teething
- Diarrhoea
- Antibiotic use
- Changing from breast milk to formula
- Sleeping through the night for the first time
- Weaning onto solids
About Drapolene
Cream

Treating nappy rash
Nappy rash can be easily treated with Drapolene Cream. It’s unique effective antiseptic formulation:
- Treats the rash
- Soothes and reduces redness
- Forms a protective barrier to help protect the skin from external irritants

Preventing nappy rash
Here are some tips you can try to help prevent your baby from getting nappy rash:
- Change your baby’s nappy several times a day
- Use clean lukewarm water and cotton wool to clean baby’s bottom and genitals at every nappy change
- Bathe baby regularly, although this does not have to be every day. You may choose instead to “top and tail” by washing their face, neck, hands and bottom carefully.
- Apply a thin layer of Drapolene

How to apply

- Wash and dry the affected area thoroughly, paying particular attention to the folds of skin
- Apply Drapolene
Cream thinly to the irritated area
- Fit a clean, dry nappy
- Re-apply Drapolene
Cream at every nappy change to prevent nappy rash
